How To Install A Self-Hosted Wordpress Blog

So now that you have your own domain, your own hosting account and have connected it together already, it wouldn't be enough if you don't upload or install a website inside your host to appear on your domain name. So I'll be teaching you now How To Install A Self-Hosted Wordpress Blog.

If you have not yet done the things I mentioned above yet, here are the steps you need to do first before proceeding with this tutorial:

1. Register a domain - Follow my 9 Steps To Register Your Own Domain In Godaddy
2. Register a Hosting account - Follow my 5 Simple Steps How To Get Your Own Web Hosting Account In Hostgator
3. Learn How To Connect Your Godaddy Domain Name With Your Hostgator Web Hosting

If you're done with those 3 then we can now proceed with this module. So the first thing we need to do is:

1. In your browser, type yourdomainname.com/cpanel. In my case, the domain I just bought was beat makingsoftwarepro.com, so I entered that URL in my browser address bar PLUS the word cpanel after the slash.

2. A log in box will then appear. Enter here the details (username and password) you used when registering to your HOSTING ACCOUNT.


3. Once you're logged in, you can now see your CPANEL. This is what the Hostgator Cpanel looks like.


4. Once you're inside, scroll down and look for the section "Domains" and under it is the Addon Domains. Click on Addon Domains.


5. You will now be taken into this page. Just enter in the first blank space named "New Domain Name": yourdomainname.com (without the www), once you enter that, it ill automatically fill up the rest of the blank spaces (Subdomain/FTp and Document root), once it's okay, enter now a password for that domain. Once you see a green check in all the spaces you can now click on"Add Domain".


6. Your new domain is now added to the database of your hosting account! Congratulations! Now click on HOME found at the upper left corner of the your cpanel.


7. Once you're in the cpanel again, scroll down again and look for the section called "Software / Services". Under it you can find the "Fantastico De Luxe". Click on it. Other hosting accounts don't have fantastico de luxe but have Simple Scripts. You can also use that.


8. Once you're inside Fantastico De Luxe, click on "Wordpress".


9. Once you've clicked that, it will take you to this page. Click on New Installation.


10. You can now select from the drop down button your domain name. Then enter your Admin username you will want to use when logging in to your Wordpress blog and also your password in the blank spaces. Also enter your Admin Nickname (author name), your email address, Site name and site description. Then click on Install Wordpress.


11. Click on Finish Installation.


12. You can email the installation details to your email address. Enter your email address here.


13. And now visit your domain name! TADA! Your own self-hosted wordpress blog! Congratulations! You can now visit yourdomainname.com/wp-admin to have control over the Admin settings of your blog.


You can now use this blog to make money online from Adsense, Affiliate Marketing (Clickbank), CPA Marketing, or selling your own digital products!
