9 Steps To Register Your Own Domain In Godaddy

Okay, So a lot of people have been asking me already how to buy and register their own domain using Godaddy for their Blogger or Self-Hosted Wordpress Blogs so now I want to share with you just simple 9 Steps to Register Your Own Domain In Godaddy.

First Step is.. no, this is not yet the first step, because obviously, we're going to the Godaddy Website to buy and register our domain! Hehehe! So go to Godaddy using this banner below (open in new tab) to get a discount on your domain (YOU WON'T GET A DISCOUNT IF YOU GO DIRECTLY TO THEIR WEBSITE):

1.) Now if you're already on their website, this is what you're going to do first. Enter your desired domain name on the blank provided and choose whether you want a Dot Com, Dot Net, or Dot Org. Then After you have chosen, just click Go.

2.) Godaddy will then tell you if that Domain name is available, if it is, then all you have to do is to click on Continue To Registration. If not, you're gonna have to choose a different Domain Name.

3.) Once you click that, this Pop-up will appear, telling you to buy the other Domain names associated with your chosen domain name. Just click No Thanks if you don't want to buy the other domain names.

4.) Godaddy will then prompt you to Log in to your account if you're already an existing member. If not, you have to register (right side) for a new account first. Don't worry, the account creation is FREE! :D

5.) Once you have logged in to your account already, you're gonna choose your Domain settings. Just choose their the Registration Length you want your Domain name to be online and be yours (in the image, 5 years, then that domain will be exclusively yours for 5 straight years). Then just click Next.

6.) Godaddy will then ask for your Privacy and Domain Protection settings. I recommend you don't click anything there and just click on NEXT.

7.) Then Activate Your Domain will then appear and all you have to do is click NEXT again.

8.) Then you can review your shopping cart and will tell you how much will it cost you. After you have reviewed it correctly and is satisfied with it, then just click on Continue to Checkout.

9.) You will then select your Payment Method. Once you have chosen your payment method, then just click the box beside the Terms and Conditions then click on Place Order Now.

And TADA! Your purchase is successful! You now own the domain you have just chosen and can use it on your new or existing blogs and websites used for your online businesses, affiliate marketing, CPA Marketing, Google adsense, business blogging and more! And having your own domain also increase Search Engine Optimization and traffic for your sites! Do you know that? :D

It's really that easy you know! If you're using a Blogger blog, it's very easy to customize it and change your blogspot blog to your own custom domain. But if you're going to use a self-hosted Wordpress, then you're gonna need a Hosting account first and that would be my next lesson. I recommend you get a Hostgator Hosting. 5/5 rating on customer service and no downtime! Amazing!

So this is it! Stay tuned for my next post/tutorial by subscribing to my blog using the Small blue box you see above. :D

Feel Great always!

The domain name registration refers to database of the domain names which are in top level domain. It is also called as NIC (network information center) that is part of DNS of the Internet that stores the data of domain names. They are managed by IANA (Internet Assigned Numbers Authority) The IANA manages the top of the DNS tree by administrating the data.
